I cut the last six inches off my S-7's and I like them better than ever. I alpine ski on them. I have Drifters for tele powder and I like them.

My rockered Rossi S-7s, on the other hand - have taught me I have no need for twin tips. And I don't think the rockered tail helps me any. I'm probably a sloppy skier, but I occasionally catch one tail over another, and it ends badly, most times.

I have the Sportiva Hi5 (188) and have only done a few days with it on tele and I think its skies REALLY well. My previous tele ski was a BD Aspect (186) so the Hi5 was definitely wider and a bigger ski, but I have really been impressed by how well it performs. The flat tail was a requirement for me and I think it is a big advantage and the early rise tip make it ski powder really well. I have the 7TM Power Tour for reference. I also skied the DPS Lotus 120 on Saturday's powder dump and thought it also skied pretty well, though takes a little while to get used to such a big ski.
