I've noticed this year a commonality amongst all my guests who complain of "pre-releasing" their Dynafit toe-pieces: Their bindings are all excessively old. I was starting to suspect that they were also very "dry", lacking lubrication, and in one case even showing some aluminium oxide build-up. This can't be helping the mechanism, and I think it may be contributing to the problem - along with the pins and the dimple's simply wearing out.

I can do it on flat ground by putting my pole tip in the high riser when its flicked in off position.  One side is easier to do than the other due to the 270 degree spin needed and your body getting in the way.   It doesnt take much force so if you are torquing on anything hard you might not be doing it right.   Havent tried it in more challenging conditions though.

Thanks for the idea, I'll give that a try at home before taking it to the streets.

Have you had your heels replaced yet? The heels seem to be a little harder to spin since getting them back from dynafit after breaking off the top plate.

Thanks Ron!

Edge, my boots are Axons as well, same size. Is your left boot by chance worse than your right?  ;)

No difference related to either boot - It only happens when I stomp for purchase on hard snow or ice and no other time but it is repeatable.
