BobS - sounds like a good idea! I used the brown bag and iron method the other night and I think that it did the trick . . . we will find out tomorrow! If not I will be trying the bathtub method! Thanks!

Just for anyone interested: Last week I used the brown bag and iron method to remove some wax that was stuck to the adhesive side of my skins. I cut strips, the width of my skins from the brown bags you get at the grocery store. I used the same iron that I wax my boards and skis with on a medium heat. The brown bag absorbed the wax like a sponge and my skin glue remained unharmed. This was a great way to clean up and renew the glue. My wife and I got out at Crystal to do some skinning on Saturday morning, it was her first time and she loved it! I had no issues with my skins slipping or adhering to the bottom of my board so if anyone has this problem I would suggest trying the brown bag and iron method, it worked like a charm!
