Best ski events in the Pacific Northwest

And someone needs to find a job first

I haven't been, but for the Portland area, Ski Bowl and Mtn Shop host a "Tele Tuesday" demo and race and least a couple times a year. Open to AT'ers and Tele alike.

The "Hog Loppet" is a fun time.

It's a little scary - skiing free-healed, without metal edges, the first mile from top of Mission Ridge . But once you are in the flats, it's just fun, like the STP, only on skis.

Another great one is the Kootenay Coldsmoke Powderfest at the end of Feb.
