Best ski events in the Pacific Northwest was created by Chris S
In an effort to get out and see a few places I wouldn't otherwise go to, I thought it be cool to attend the best ski event at ski areas around the PNW. Obviously I likely won't make it to all of them, but I'm going to try to make it to most of them.
Randonee races trump all.
So, for example, at Alpental we have Vertfest. What's something comparable at other hills? I'm looking for anything south into Oregon, East into Idaho.
Thanks

Nelson, BC is kind of close to I-DEE-HO so you could hit the Kootenay Coldsmoke festival. Someday I'd like to go but someone needs to go to college first.

Whitefish Whiteout:

Skin to Win at Bridger Bowl: www.bridgerbowl.com/events/view_event/80/ February 2.
These are the only two I know of within a 10 hour drive of Seattle other than Vertfest. Let me know if you find any closer, I'd love to do more without having to drive to Utah.
You can also check here: www.ussma.org/ as the list is fairly comprehensive.
There's also the Big Mountain Battle at Stevens pass in March that isn't a randonee race but pretty fun with a Le Mans start and a couple of booter climbs.

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
I could have waited 46 more seconds, and posted the referral to Tele Fest at 4:20.
