Being a taller guy, I was lucky to have been able to connect with Zap via the 'Personal Yard Sale' where I found and bought his old MEC 40L backpack, size Long. This was a couple years back around the time I was finally pulling the trigger on compiling some honest BC gear.
I made the long drive from Tacoma way up north to meet Zap at his beautiful homestead and ended up sticking around for an hour or so chatting up mountain talk. Zap had some great philosophical input regarding spending as much time as possible in the mountains and living life for the moment. Writing this, I'm reminded of the conversation and his conviction to approach life with the intended priority of enjoyment.
Speedy recovery, big guy!
