Last spring I was using my tlt5 mountains to drive 193 cm 4frtn ehp with fritschi bindings. They slayed.

Good info. If I decide to upgrade someday to the 5s from my tlt4s is there any chance dynafit uses identical measurements for all their boots so that my old TLT bindings won't have to be reset?

If you keep the same nominal shell size, the TLT 5 boots will probably be much shorter . . . don't know the TLT 4 BSL's offhand, but a 26.5 Titan is 302mm and 26.5 TLT 5 is 287mm.

I can just barely use my Seven Summits which were mounted for a 29 Zzero 4;  I had to change the mounting on my Manaslus (moved the rear up one set of inserts--fits both my TLT5 and Zzeros) so it depends on which binding--it is my understanding the verticals have a greater range of adjustment, and the exact differences in BSL of the boots; I think you can find exact info on Wildsnow.com

In my case (MP 29) is something like 317 (TLT5) vs. 326 (Zzero4).

Thanks, they are the classics, a season or two before they were called speeds. I was pretty sure I would have to move them. Maybe there is a chance though.

Thanks all for the info.

Andrew (or anyone else on the TLT5m) do you feel like your mountains are sufficient to not collapse while getting thrown around in uneven or cut up/ tracked/tree bombed then refrozen snow with your longer skis? Ie typical cascade ski outs. Can you compare them to other boots you have used?

I think the TLT5's will fit based on a quick try on. I tried on a 27 which is the same size as my spritits but scarpa breaks 26.5/27 and dynafit breaks 27/27.5 so I have a bit of extra toe room but they are nice and snug around the ankle due to the lower volume fit...almost too tight at the lower buckle but I think they would be fine if molded with a thin footbed. I can see how, if you were a scarpa half size, the dynafit fit would be really tight.

I may have to find somewhere to demo or at least try them on for longer and carpet flex.

The maestrale is a nice looking boot too but I want to go as light as possible if I can. La Sportiva has some options that might be good for next year too though I don't know how they will fit or how stiff their non carbon versions will be:

@kevino, i thought these boots are tech-binding compatible only? How did you use them with fritschis?
