New Rottefella NTN binding

FYI, Rottefella put out a press release for the new NTN Freedom binding .

Supposedly it has a better pivot and ROM and weighs a pound less than the NTN "Freeride". I wonder if they addressed balling under the springs...

cutting the frame back and shortening the height should take care of that problem.  I'm still curious to see how the tour mode operates. It's not clear from the photos I've seen. In any case, I cannot wait to buy a pair... make that two.

Sounds like that hot pink tab just ahead of the toepiece flips up -- I'm assuming it releases a catch under the foot, similar to the Axl? Very curious to get my hands on a pair. Pretty happy with the TTS right now, but the conveniences of the NTN setup are nice. This looks like it'll go a long way toward addressing some of the touring weaknesses.

Yeah, that looks pretty damn good. Looks like a very light tension in the tour mode, but much, much greater range of motion than the original binding. Can't wait to play with it.

Seems awfully clunky and heavy. Should be room for shaving another 500 grams in there
