Hyak gets you about 1000' of vert with lots of options going up and down. The backside is nice, but a bit lower angle then the main face and not as much vert.

The general rule at Hyak is the farther East you are, the steeper the run.

Of course, I might be a bit biased... ;-)

Hyak... less visible, more variation.  There's a backside which makes it feel more remote, and skiing a slope that took out a house and a tower seems more adventurous.
