Does the guy ever do a kick turn on a steep switchback? The only one I saw him do was on totally flat ground. I could see tip issues there, at least with my busch-league kick turns...

The cool thing about these is now you can actually RUN with your ski's on in touring mode. This would have a huge advantage if your touring with friends in say... grizzly bear country! much to the same effect like summer hiking in bear country with running shoes ;)

...only works when touring with friends ;)

in all honesty I applaud the innovation.

Looks really cool! Perhaps a little fragile for a jumbo Ami like me.

In an early section of the video he is clearly climbing uphill in a ski area... how come the Italian police didn't arrest him?

This also seems like the kind of "out there" eccentric who might show up at the slope in an all electric vehicle. Those kooky Euros! Oh, but wait, almost all of my touring gear is euro designed.

That's a really clever design. But it seems like if the boot has enough ankle flexibility (as some of the newer boots do), this binding is almost superfluous.
