Nothing like struggling hours up some tortuous route on Mt Shuksan or Baker only to find a fat white bird, strutting and clucking like a chicken, to keep a person humble.

The song of the Thrush has begun in early morning and evenings. To me that marks that Spring has officially sprung in Greenwater.
