UPDATE: Glen Plake at Hurricane Ridge

I did too! probably ten-twelve years ago he had job with Boyne - ski with the people -  and showed up at Alpental. Next thing I knew we were paired up with him and a partner on the Express, ended up going to the top and skiing all the way back down together- International, Lower I....

Agreed, what a great and positive guy. And a truly gifted athlete. If you have that chance to hit the slopes with him this weekend, do it!

And just for kicks, watch "The Blizzard of Ahhhs," and "License to Thrill." They'll set the stage, best ski movies ever.

His tour must of started early, he was at Crystal today hang'n out and giving swag away @ the Bull Wheel!

Oh yeah ! I presented him with a trophy when I MC'd the waterski US Championships in Bakersfield. Rockin good waterskier and Kimberly is a definte keeper.

Not sure what the situation is with the Hurricane Ridge road, but there's been a confirmed Plake sighting at Hyak this morning . . .

I hear he was at Hyak all day and in the lodge he was giving away T-shirts, gloves, hats, goggles, etc. I was out of town so I missed out, but looks like it was a good time.

The road was closed today (I updated my original post at the top of this string yesterday evening) so they headed to the Pass area.

ONP was no more successful in completing their plowing today ................ it is uncertain that our road will open tomorrow.  >

So, the next stop on the tour will NOT be Hurricane Ridge.
