Thoughts to family and friends...

Horrible news, hoping for something miraculous.

Freezing rain up here right now, putting a coating of ice on everything.
Hoping for the best, thoughts go out to loved ones and friends.

She was such a good hugger! I am sending her one right now. I loved how she kept her stuffed kitty with her on climbing trips. She was such an inspiration to other women climbers. She will be remembered fondly and missed beyond words.

Fairly sure I never met her, but I always heard she was a hardcore skier and a good person.

Oddly enough: on Jan. 26, we'd exchanged emails talking about maybe going skiing the next day, Thursday.  As it happened, I was suggesting Red Mtn, and she was wanting to go ski at Paradise.  In the end, we didn't ski, due to unrelated logistical reasons, but made plans to maybe go some other time.
