Since there is no mystery that the Puget Sound region has the potential to get some measurable snowfall and there may be significant totals in the mountains from Baker to Hood.
Assuming that happens, how many of you in this blog-ass-fear are calling in and telling your employer that you can't drive in because the roads are to dangerous, while the car is loaded with gear and go skiing at your favorite locations?
I would like to hear some of those calls...
The best one I can remember witnessing is a buddy calling in sick for work at a phone booth in Ravensdale (pre cell phone era) just as the snowplow drops his blade and soaks the phone booth!

About a month back I called my business partner in the morning and told him I'd be working from home that day because the roads were bad. Next day he told me that I'd been seen at 7:00 m driving through Enumclaw by his cousin excactly 5 mins after I'd called him. Busted!

my plan is to start a rumor at the office "did you hear about the huge storming coming tomorrow?" and see where it goes.

maybe i wont even have to ask or come up with an excuse :)

I just send an email saying “can’t come to work, sick kids.” Everyone seems to assume it’s my children that have the flu and not my ski buddies that are “sick”. ;D
