I don't get it. Why not just thank them for breaking trail for you while you dawdled instead of complaining about their spacing on the internet.
Smart not to follow or your thanks may have been 7 people and tons of snow on top of your head.

Or better yet, since there were already seven people ahead of you, break you're own trail up one of the many other slopes back there and have your own adventure.
I think spacing out in the resort slack country is a good idea. Don't just follow the one track that is already there. But if you do, don't be a d-bag. But hey, it's a free country. USA!!!

From what I have seeen in the places I have been at, there has not been enough snow to warrant an avalanche yet....3 feet of snow....with many a boulders showing their skin. I can't speak for every area.

I would say I would not mind skiing up many regular season avalanche slopes right now.

Ahhhhhummm... no.... There were places where I was yesterday that were decidedly sketchy and had plenty of snow for an avy.
Not boasting...far from it... but the above statement is just not correct. There is some very bad wind slab developing in certain areas and the range of snow conditons even on one aspect due to wind and temp is quite surprising IMHO.
Care is very much warranted at the moment.
