It's an intriguing option to the Duke. I'm guessing it will be heavier than the duke, as iirc my dh binders are heavier by themselves.

two things jump to my mind when looking at them:
1) will the pivots be any stronger than anyone elses? The dukes use the plate to help alleviate so many pivot problems, but the MFD will transfer loads through the pivots ALLTIME (= all the time)

2) the heel looks like a fritschi, and will definitely tour better than the duke. how could it not? But I don't like the locking mechanism that is designed to stick out toward the tail along the ski and unlocks when lifted, this type of design leads to insta-tele problems when the ski is overflexed (often the worst possible time to go into a tele turn).

Looks good, we'll see if they can work out the kinks...

I think the REAL question (taken from TGR too) is can you mount Dukes on them :)

As for feedback all the guy would really say is o Sage hiked 70 miles in a week on them. It really sound slike they havent gotten to a bigger test group yet. You'll always find people who can hike 70+ miles in trekkers. Fact is the mass majority of people wont/cant so basing a product off a pro skier who is strong as an ox and would do just as well in a duke is a bit meh to me. lets see real people testing

yeah, and Sage is only 150 lb, so that's not much of a test. I'm guessing they didn't ski alot of crap snow (per video), and who blows up bindings in light pow?  I've skied powder just fine with duck-tape bindings.

But it's a good idea and hopefully one step above a trekker.

velillen: The MFD-dyna-trekker triple is gonna be sick!
