MFD Alltime Binding Plate was created by Ritalin Kid
Has anyone seen or heard about the MFD Binding Plate that Jason Prigge is working on?

Looks like it isnt yet available, but looks like the ideal Salomon AT setup.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
It's great to see the gadgets that people come up with for touring. Looks like a short side country setup.
On the plus side you can use your own alpine gear.
The idea on the heel lifts is an interesting concept.
Uncertain on how comfortable it would be to tour in my Alpine boots though. Tighter boot, more forward lean ect...
It looks like packable snow will get easily trapped and compacted under the plate design. Also, the rotation of the front hinge is well forward of the toe which can make for a weird stride too.
Interesting right up there with the Spademark.

I wonder how the weight and cost compare to Alpine Trekkers. At least with the MFD you won't be on stilts.

Looks interesting. Interesting to see the weight of just the "plate". Alpine bindings are already heavy as is. Not sure i'd want to tour in them over my dukes. but i can understand for someone like sage who kind of eeds alpine boots (id think at least) that AT bindings might not work well for him.
But as pointed out i can see our heavy, wet snow just packing under the plate making for odd strides and cleaning it out.
