North face, Adams (been skied ?)

I believe the Hummels and Sky Sjue have made some forays on the North Side of Adams. Check out skisickness.com. I have climbed the Adams Glacier with the intent of skiing, turned around around 11k, downclimbed about 1/2 of it and skied the rest. I would say the steepest climbing was 55+ degrees. This was in July about 3 years ago.

Lowell - maybe try contacting Hattrup at K2. He's the one that told me a few years back that Coombs/Plake skied something on the north side, and may know more.

Thanks Dave. I contacted Mike Hattrup four years ago and but he didn't have more details than what you mention above. He gave me a contact for Glen Plake but it didn't pan out. So, this lead has gone cold for several years.

I spoke with Doug about this, he specifically referred to the Lava headwall that he skied when he lived in Hood River. I asked him about details because I had made attempts to ski that area was curious which aspect he skied. Coombs may have skied other lines as well.

Whoa, spooky. Looking forward to trying that. My palms are getting all sweaty just thinking about it.

sounds like a good opportunity to ski some cool lines and document it. Im game if anyone wants to try it
