North face, Adams (been skied ?)

Do a search for "NFNWR Adams" -- that's one of the more popular lines, I think. Linked above is one of several TRs, but I didn't dig too deep.

I've done it.

The NFNWR(North face of the Northwest Ridge) is not the North Face, that is the Lava Headwall, which has also been skied by Doug Coombs in early 90's. Probably in the upper 40's-low 50 degree range.

Do you have details of ski descents by Doug Coombs on the north side of Mt Adams? I've heard rumors about this but haven't got any solid information. I heard that he skied the NFNWR with Glen Plake. I hadn't heard anything about the Lava headwall.

I tried contacting his widow a few years ago out about this, but got no reply. I would be interested to talk to anybody who has more information.
