I have it somewhere in a box but to anyone who can find it I highly recomend "Wine Women Warren & skis" or something like that, which is Warren's take on his 1947 season in Sun Valley living in that teardrop trailer with one of his friends. It's sort of like On the Road with less existentialism and Jazz but more skiing and maybe a little more roadkill if I remember correctly.

I think they are a bit cynical about the" commercial" aspect of the Snowtroopers videos and can sniff stuff out like that like a pig on a truffle hunt.

Quoted for truth.

On a related note: If I recall correctly, SnowTroopers was asked to stop spamming TAY. Dave Norona, who is also getting a hard time on TGR for his most recent "commercial", was banned from TAY.

Paging Wooley12 to dish out a scolding for uncivil behaviour!

My recollection and understanding was that if a TAY member unassociated with the troopers posted a link to their latest effort, it was acceptable.

If the person who's doing the posting is directly profiting from the advertising in the post (unlike a link you might post to Black Diamond), then yes, those would be considered advertisements and would be removed.

Quote from Keith Henson:
For clarity, does that mean that if I posted the link to the sstrooper video then it would be ok as I would not profit but if sstrooper posts the link then it would not be allowed as he is sponsored by the acknowledgment notices (ads) and hence profits?

Don't understand why there is so much hate over there , I tend to think skiing is way too enjoyable for so much hate.
Amen

It's called "free speech" duh! Democracy can be messy!
One man's "hater" can be another mans "thruth speaker".

Another way to think of it is a TV analogy.
TGR is more like The Daily Show with John Stewart" whereas TAY is like the "700 Club"

I wasn't referring to the link posted above by Scotsman.

I posted in this thread because some of the remarks about "haterz" on TGR seemed ironic given that SnowTroopers and Dave Norona received fairly frosty treatment here. ( And the frosty treatment was entirely deserved in my opinion. )

Well then I apologize if I have written something irrelevant. Won't be the first time, nor the last I fear.

I have no time nor use for the childish, immature, incivility that characterizes the TGR site.
