Dry land ski training? was created by silaswild
Can anyone suggest some online training exercises, youtube videos or DVD to get and stay fit for skiing? Yoga for balance? Pilates for strength? Or what?

Yeah, those leg blasters are what I do. Building up to 3-4 sets is rough stuff.

Beyond that, I've found running hills to be the best skinning training. Yoga's certainly good, but I end up just working on stretching my hamstrings and call it good, since they're they source of most knee and low back issues.

an elliptical trainer set on its maximum incline is a pretty similar motion to skinning...its a good low-impact option.

Try this.
If you can do what these guys do you'll ski good.
Don't be put off by opening scenes... it's not what you think. Avoid stereotyping.
Enjoy... I think they are amazing.

Follow some of this... the bosu is great for incorporating balance into strength exercises. The link below also may keep your vision crisp.
