Finding ski jackets in summer....stores?

Looks like a nice coat. Powderskirts are overrated anyway; I've had them on lot of jackets over the years but on a powder day I'm invariably too excited to button them . . .

Outdoor Research (OR) is another fine local product and source.  In addition to their well respected gaters and gloves, they've long made clothes.  Though earlier not know for their style, they've recently been producing well cut, well featured hard and soft shell tops and bottoms at great pricing - with a literal 'Nordstrom'-like warranty.  If you can't find them in REI, Feathered Friends or Marmot, try their company store on 1st ave south, down near the Starbuck's Hdqtrs.  I've got a couple OR parkas (in addition to the more 'stylish', and expensive, Arcteryx') and really like them.

Finally got the Higgins in the mail today. medium was a perfect fit. might have tried the large on just to see if i was at a store, but the medium is good enough! But holy crap the hood seems huge! Then again im sure all "helmet compatible" hoods are that way. Cinches down pretty well though. Pocket wise its great, nice hand pockets, chest pocket is decent sized, and internal has two mesh pockets and a zip which is perfect. For buying on a whim i'm actually pretty impressed!
