Anyone has been up Adams lately? Any info is appreciated.

We were up there on Sunday (June 13th). We parked the car at 1400m/4600 ft. Continuous snow started about 30 minutes from the car. More snow at and above tree line compared to our trip on May 16th 08. We started at 3:30 am and reached the summit 8 hours later. We didn't ski the SW chutes but we found great snow on the south spur. I think the SW chutes need a few more days of sunshine. Nowhere along our route did we see signs of the "extreme avalanche hazard" ( www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/recreation/current-co...limbing-report.shtml ). I hope I have time post a TR with some pictures later today.

Thanks for posting such a great shot. I know we're all looking at Adams, but loooking at Rainier, you can really see how huge the Paradise snowfield is. Never quite seen it from such a high vantage point.

I know (recall?) that the Cold Springs camp ground / trail head is at 5600.  What elevation is Morrison Creek CG at?

I really like being able to do fall line to the car and not having to work around the mountain as much as when parked at Cold Springs.....but would take that over a long bush schwack.

Thanks...skh

Micah and Allyson: Amazing picture! Thanks for sharing.
Alexander: if you have any photos please share...

Most likely I will not be able to go this weekend, so I am looking forward to TRs.
