Whistler vs. Muir this weekend?

I was wondering if it's a good idea to drive to Whistler for the weekend?
Seems some lifts are open and webcams show snow.

Trying to decide between this and a Muir snowfield day.

Tips / advice greatly appreciated

Don't think lifts are open for skiing at the moment?

This is why I am asking. Maybe I can carry the skis / board on the lift, then skin up from there? Back home the gondola has special slots for 6 or 8 (can't remember exact number) pairs of skis on the outside. If this is the same, I don't see why they would care if I stick my skis there or not.

The real question is: is the snow at Whistler worth it at this time or am I better off sticking with Muir. Joedabaker reported a great day on Muir last weekend, and I don't 'have' to go to Whistler.

I don't think they'l let you carry skis on the lifts that are running for just sightseeing?

Call WB and check before going?

Summer skiing is June 19 to July 25, they run lifts on the Horstman Glacier. I also don't think that they otherwise let skis up the lifts in the summer.
