Boots vs Skin Track... was created by Merk
I know most of us know, but just in case somebody didn't get the memo, please don't walk in a skin track!

I layed down a pristine skin track in Edelweiss Bowl at Alpental this morning. After making my first lap down Nash, I returned to find my beautiful track demolished by someone's boot path. Even the switchbacks were shredded whereas most booters climb directly up the fall line. :'(

It's a common courtesy (kind of like lowering the toilet seat) among mountain users and I understand that not everyone knows this, tell your friends!

Thanks for reading my little rant. Take care.

I did not know this, indeed.

What is the rationale?

Play at a ski resort area, expect ski resort people. 99.9999951% of the patrons on this site have skins so the choir has been preached to. I expect your booter thought skinning up meant something else entirely however!

Is it time to re-post the skier and the snowshoer?
