Last week I saw something interesting a boot pack on it's own, so I put a skin track next to it.
Sometimes I think they wait in the car or behind trees to see the skin track get laid down then jump right on it.

I remember one day a few years ago, when RonJ, Jeannette, Carol and I went up to Unicorn.
There was a group of Mountaineers who followed us up. There was one point where the Mountaineers were out pacing RonJ, so he had to endure a punch-hole trail all the way up to Unicorn. I was setting the track and any time I stopped the following boot packers would do a delay move or stop to not have to be the first to put in the trail.
I should have just gone in circles and seen what they would do.

Funny! They would probably ask you to go up and set some tracks for them, since you aren't doing anything usefull and are obviously misguided but strong - you could at lest help them out lol

If on Crystal May 2nd, the track you saw was set by Chris. He was so fast, despite his huge expedition pack, that I gave him my poles to help out a bit.

I have posted a photo of his track (which I followed gratefully) in the Crystal Fest thread but now realize this may not look as beautiful to you skinners as it does to me. At least I do not think he desecrted the sanctity of ski tracks. If he did - I was not aware of the etiquette at the time, and the same probably holds for him.

Cheers
Ivo
