Speaking as a lurker (trying to improve) - I really like the TR's when I am drinking my morning tea at work on Monday.  Even if its a popular route.  It also gives me some detail in case I want to do that popular route the next day.  I, of course, need to practice what I preach.

Perhaps the challenge to put to TR writers of the "regular" runs, is to add a unique detail, or a really cool picture (I like pics!)

Twice I've been asked how I found out about an area, and each time I was asked to "keep quiet". Is a secret stash a place akin to the location where one would manufacture moonshine? You know what would be great? People should publish their secret stashes.

I have to agree, cookie. The temps and rain get the powder well before skiers do in the BC in these marine climes, and it brings tears to my eyes to think of all that tasty snow going unskied.

The only time I write a trip report is when it contains some useful information or it is an interesting route. Sharing with everyone with everyone that I skied the Slot for the third this season while offering no new information to offer seems pointless.

Many people see writing TR’s as chest beating and that may be true in some cases.

agree. I tend not to post mellow trips to familiar places, since usually there's plenty of reports from there.

I enjoy reading about how sweet heather ridge or yodelin are skiing, since it gives me a great deal of information on conditions. So even if someone just went for a simple tour to Snow lake, I'd still like to read about sometimes!

Secret stashes are crap. If someone beats you to something, go ski something else. We have so many great lines in every area that most days it's not hard to find untracked in the bc, even when it's crowded. I suggest trying something with mando air... ;)

Me too! Post more of yours!

I can only assume from my last TR that many skiers flocked to Barclay Lake to ski the blackberries.

I keep trying to find secret stashes and getting skunked by poor snow or heavy brush. I'm a poor explorer, apparently.

All TR's in MRNP are saved and logged into the NPS supercomputer which is working on a soundscape map to prove you TAY'ers are scaring the wildlife. Big brother is watching you and recording you!!!
They have extensive proof that Vogt and Jarvis yodel frequently.

In some places, TAYers are the WildLife.
