Crystal is getting a gondola

My biggest concern is that they're demolishing the only place on the mountain that you can get real coffee.

you don't think they'll have a bikini barista and pound cake for sale at the loading queue?    

Sex on the gondola will only be provided to permit parking holders.

I'll be skiing far more next year.

Guess that explains why they didn't step up to the plate for VertFest Crystal this year.   They'd rather raise rates than raise avalanche awareness  :

I am stoked on the Gondola, but more stoked about the park.

Sunny days when the BC is all crusted out...that's where I'll be. It'll also be entertaining to watch the little groms on the ride up Forrest Queen.

...I havn't heard any news about letting mountain bikes up the new Gondola in the summer, if they do you can expect I'll be there 10 months of the year. Might have to start a new site Gondola-All-Year, probably wont fly as an acronymn like TAY.

interesting news about the park at crystal. now we can witness pant sagging, tall tee wannabe gangsters wearing arc'teryx and north face rather than hanes and columbia. i'm all for 40 foot booters. i'm just laughing at what might/will be "the scene" at crystal.

Like so many non-destination ski areas, Crystal is suffering from delusions of grandeur. From buying a spot in the latest Warren Miller film to trying to put a 4 Seasons at the base, Crustal is trying to deny that they are a great local hill near Enumclaw. Vail, Whistler and Jackson they are not and never will be.
They are a nice little ski hill and should try to take better care of their customers who are not Ski Magazine readers in New York but scrappy rain-skiers in Seattle, Tacoma and Sea-tac.
