Do you mean we should hope to not get the crap beat out of us when we travel in public places?

I think we just need a little more hope, that's all.

I think that goes without saying.

I agree with the landlord; this is my special happy place and there are almost limitless places better suited for that kind of discussion.
The wooden boat forum I look at has a special category called the bilge for this kind of topic. On that site there is a link for "today's posts" that I always thought would be awesome but every time I click it it is all political arguments and no boat discussion. It always struck me as odd to have a fully off topic section when there is a more appropriate place for any topic imaginable no further away than adding a tab or window and searching google.
Unmoderated, unchecked general discussion will have us scrolling down to get to the ski related posts sooner or later.

Let's please not go there, from either side.

I was born in Seattle, but I have to say Seattle is just a weird city. This isn't the first weird thing and probably won't be the last. I am not a believer in public transportation so I guess I am not surprised that they screwed this up. If Seattlites had their way, they would close all the ski areas to save endangered fungus.

Luckily for the endangered fungus crowd, skiing can encourage fungus growth, depending on how you store you ski boots between trips. If Seattlites had their way, they would close all the ski areas to save endangered fungus.

What? How does one not believe in public transportation? Morally opposed, conscientious objector, in love with your Dodge Magnum? That's the one thing that I miss about living in Washington DC, really good public transportation (and that's the only thing!!).
