"I am not a believer in public transportation so I guess I am not surprised that they screwed this up."
What? How does one not believe in public transportation? Morally opposed, conscientious objector, in love with your Dodge Magnum? That's the one thing that I miss about living in Washington DC, really good public transportation (and that's the only thing!!).
I wrote out a big long explanation on my opposition to public transportation. However, it is too inflamatory for a nice skiing forum.
Yes, I am a Reagan-Conservative, an anti-communist, but I like skiing. And I will ski with anybody no matter what their politics.

My next hope was that, thanks to Larry and Travertine, after a connection was made, feebly but greatfully, to snow and skiing, that this conversation might die, thereby marginally pulling my butt out of the frying pan. Once again, I underestimated snow suckage.
Not much else to say except that we're going to go play outside. The sun comes out big time tomorrow for a few, and Letty and I are heading up to checkout Hogback. If this 'topic' were to end right here, that would seem about right to me. thanks

My dear man . "who doesn't give a WHIT about" is much more intelectual and appropriate. Or take it to TGR. Surely you must know more that 2 or 3 interjections. interjection - look it up. Your thoughts are appreciated. Your verbiage is inflammatory. Google and spell check are your friends. An edit is in order.
Granted we're now on a sub-topic of a sub-topic on a page that isn't about skiing on a website that is supposed to be about skiing but I couldn't resist (I'm sure there's a double something in there or a outerjection or something or other so my apologies in advance).
Inflammatory was sort of the goal as I thought that met Larry's initial post well. One could certainly argue that meeting fire with fire will not make the world a better place but it did make me feel a little better as does this reply.
Larry is probably a really nice guy. I'm a pretty nice guy too and you Wooley are probably the nicest of all of us but you did say, "Surely you must know more that 2 or 3 interjections." when you likely meant to say, "Surely you must know more than 2 or 3 interjections."
For a post focused on correcting grammar and writing style I thought that was too glaring not to point out. Perhaps an edit is in order afterall?
All that being said, I've never been accused of being an English major but I've also never had my writing called out on an internet forum of any sort where readable content all too often takes a backseat to ridiculous opinions and gross generalizations which brings us back to Larrys' post.
And Marcus, Larry is certainly entitled to his opinions about whatver, but others should be allowed to make fun of them when they make absurd exaggerations like all Seattlites being in favor of ending ski resorts to save the moss.

And that leaves Marcus monitoring the playground during recess - but what the heck, he hasn't had anything to do for a couple of weeks... See you out there.
