There is nothing like the Canadian style lodges near by.I totally agree with peteyboy breakout the check book and do it.However,if your girl has no back country experience this type of baptism by fire is a big risk, even in a "luxury" lodge.Robie is right on the money Timberline is a great introduction. It really does not hurt to have a lift near by,chair...cat...just in case the touring is considered "not worth it".......If money was no object take your girl touring hut to hut in Italy, this is not roughing it. Way cheaper,go to Pow Mow buy groceries, make your own breakfast, and tour their very near ,low angel, controlled terrain your unlikely to see anyone on the edges of that trial map,and the amount of uphill is always negotiable. Also you will be dry......timberline? One other advantage, you are not in a group.Group anniversary......also risky..............But to answer the question....there is no luxury touring near here, because it rains here

My wife and I have stayed at Scottish Lakes several times and love it, but you will be roughing it compared to what you described.
You could stay in Whistler and find any kind of winter activity you want, guided or non. Callaghan Country is a deluxe lodge not far from Whistler, with guided trips. Reservations will be tough during the Olympics, but the ski resort will be uncrowded.
There are several good options in the Mazama-Winthrop area for cush hotels, with North Cascades Heli-Skiing (find a guide through them?). Mazama Country Inn is very nice for lodging and food, and I think there are outfits to sno-mo you in to a hut somewhere.
There is a British Columbia backcountry lodge asssociation that lists a few dozen nice locations, many of which you heli into.
The Wallowas are great and Wallawa Alpine Huts (they run yurts) is a super outfit, but again rustic.
The Timberline idea is a good one. Similar is staying at one of the fancier places around Ashford and hitting RMNP. RMI may offer ski guiding.
Isn't it funny that you can find everything except what you queried about---deluxe BC lodges in this state? ???
