Did you see baker has 3.6" of precip in the last 24 hours, while it hasn't been freezing the WHOLE time, it is still a ton of snow that has fallen since it turned to 32 degrees at 1 am. Regardless, if this storm had blown in in January, we'd be heading to the lifts and hoping they keep it safe enough to shred.

Just consider the gate opening time and if it will open after a big storm before committing to the long drive to Paradise.
It will probably be OK but sometimes the first heavy snowfall and especially during a storm makes the NPS slower than usual and it wouldn't be the first time I've driven there and found the gate closed all day or not open until noon!!!!!

Just saying, take it into consideration.
