Web Cams : Love and Hate

This year I got a new projector for my 4th grade class. We will be "studying" the Hoodoo WEather station Snowdepth and Temperature multiple times a day while looking at my 5 favorite Oregon Pass and coast web cams...

Be warned, be warned... if you play hooky and your boss knows of webcams, you will be identified.

Two people queried me this afternoon, "If you aren't driving home from Paradise... how was your car there?"  ??? Haha, caught... on webcam!

(I really didn't drive... Don did. And wow was the skiing ever sick sweet today!)

Web Cams I love them and hate them.
I love them for checking conditions.
BUT
I just clicked onto the paradise web cam and there's a picture of three skiers( whom I think I recognize) booting up to steps to get some freshies. I'm stuck at work with a deadline and it's killing me. I'm happy for them but it's just killing me.
Damn I hate work!

Turn off TAY at work, get work done instead, and you might have more time to go skiing? Or retire, that is a way to get more skiing also.

I have 15 years to go until then. Yesterday watching people with skis hiking up at Paradise ( it was everybody wasn't it?) while I was at work is my motivation to keep fit and keep going so that I can enjoy it when the time comes.

Yea right, thanks Silas. Rub it in : Retirement is years away and I have a 17 year old to  put through college  starting next year.  :'(
TAY and webcams and other ski sites are what keep me sane ( well, less mad) at work.

Paradise webcams seem to have been down, they haven't turned off for the winter, have they? supposedly Paradise Valley Rd and Stevens Canyon Rd closed for the winter today.
