Web Cams : Love and Hate

Web Cams I love them and hate them.
I love them for checking conditions.
BUT
I just clicked onto the paradise web cam and there's a picture of three skiers( whom I think I recognize) booting up to steps to get some freshies. I'm stuck at work with a deadline and it's killing me. I'm happy for them but it's just killing me.
Damn I hate work!

Speaking of Paradise webcams, does anybody (Amar?) know why they don't update early each morning.  Surely the Park could afford a light-sensitive switch, rather than manually turning them on, as appears to be the case.

Several locals have commented that one can use the webcams to see the plows arrive at Paradise, usually 2-3 hours before the Longmire gate opens.        A couple times, I've even seen private vehicles show up in the lot when the Park phone message said the road would not be open that day...what acarey calls a 'stealth opening'!

Gary, we all know they turn them off at night so we can't see all the partying that goes on up there every night with our tax payer dollars!

As they said in Men In Black... " all paid for... you don't really think the govenment pays $500 for a hammer do you?"

Youre right Marcus... wrong film reference. It's when they are taken into Area 51 but I think there's a simialar sene in MIB too!

And yes Gary, I need a day off! Swine flu is scheduled to arrive tonight. I have practised my sick call to the office and made references to "not feeling well" to several key people in the office today so I'm on track. Hopefully there will be some freshies left!
