So, ~Link~, I suppose that's about all there is to know about Hurricane Ridge, eh?  ;)

Just for future reference, it isn't necessary to included the "~" sign when making mention of myself or while conversing within the forum.  Technically, it's the correct way to pronunciate my name but it can be left out- I'm French, so yea, it's confusing to me as well.   ;)

Chimnyboy has already outlined some of the issues involved with playing at Hurricane Ridge. More information can be found at the Olympic National Park website. There is something to be said about a location as high as is the visitor centre that you can drive to (hopefully) when there is snow on the ground. Many years ago, my then ten year old son and I spent a weekend skiing near Waterhole. The slopes around the visitor centre provided a place to practice our evolving skills. The area known as the toilet bowls has more challenging gulleys that we enjoyed as we got more proficient with our tele-turns.                                                                                                                                                                                       Another Olympic area that we used to visit is Deer Park, which is east of Hurricane Ridge. Accessibility is more difficult but that can have its own rewards.
