Just returned from 1 hour long Tour de Bourke-Gilman. There were a few spotty areas, but in general it was nicely packed, even and smooth, both laterally and across the broad middle. Managed to wipe out on my street on the cement 30 seconds in...

Theres a full 8" of snow on Beacon Hill. Which means Jefferson GC I believe. But I don't think there are any hills on it, I'm not a golfer. There are lots of hills on Beacon tho: N of the resevoir, under the power lines, etc...

I don't golf, but I've ridden my bike through the new (Arnold Palmer?) course in Steilacoom. It's on a freekin steep hillside, but probably little base due to it's proximity to saltwater. Anyways, it's got to be a double black as far as golf courses go...

I've just been skiing the streets and sidewalks here in West Seattle using beat-up alpine gear. Today I got an approximately 350 vertical-feet run by dropping from my neighborhood down to Beach Dr. I also skied some of the steeper side trails in Schmitz park.
I only bottomed out 3 or 4 times on the street skiing by sticking with easily, shallow turns.
For tomorrow I'm eying a line through Hamilton Viewpoint Park down to Alki Tavern where some cold beers await.
Get it!

How about spandex and goretex?
Jackson Park (145th just east of I-5) has nice rolling hills for cross-country. The only views are of the freeway, though.
The new GC in Steilacoom would be fun if we'd had the good fortune that Seattle did --- Tacoma got hardly any snow

In highschool, I always enjoyed the challenge and certain mischievous aspect to skiing in Broadmoor (the compound). That and shooting potato cannons at night.
Additionally, the slopes on the north side of the Montlake Cut between the UW Climbing Rock and the UW Hospital are adequate for snow kayaking... what? Snow kayaking? Yep, Snow Kayaking.
