That's good stuff, thanks... and I'd rather have a little wind to knock down the surface hoar, even if it means some short-term loading.

More observations:

The wind may not knock down SH on leeward slopes, which are the ones that will be loaded.
This may be a concern w/some clear cold weather after this event, followed by another round w/o rising temps.  Forecasting conditions is interesting, but what matters most is what's underfoot, and above you.  Happy skiing everyone!  I'm headed to the Summit for some exercise.
