Lots like the Wasatch may be the best bet.
We need to get Rusty Knees on board so we can use his ski bus and have a TAY road trip, with drivers taking turns and sharing gas. It was my idea so I call SHOTGUN.
We can rent a super 6 motel  in SLC and pack in like sardines and then hit the hot spots of SLC in the evening apres'ski.
I ain't joking either!

Google maps says 845 mi – about 12 hours 26 mins to SLC.

Damn, that's waaaay more reasonable than I thought.

Exactly Korup my man!. Leave Seattle 8 am in SLC by 9.00 Pm Friday
Touring in the Wasatch Sat, hit a few lifts in the PM if one so chooses.
Sun- Touring or skiing at Snowbird.
Monday- BAck home.
1700 miles/16 mpg=106 gal x $2.20=$233/8 people= $29 bucks each
Accomodation= 75 per night/4= $19 x3 nights=$57

total=$86 bucks per person excluding food, beer and lift tickets if anybody wanted to lift ski. Assumes 8 people in bus, 4 per room. Add on $400 for bus wear and tear= $50 per person +87= $137

Tim, do you have any better info on Roger's Pass then the most recent avi bulletin?  It doesn't sound good up there:

...

I just forwarded to you a few pictures forwarded to me by Lee Lau taken by a friend of his trip to RP recently. They were grateful to "not hit any rocks". Maybe the Wasatch is a better call!

I could be convinced.

I drove to SLC from Seattle by myself in 13 hours, so it isn't that bad.

Doesn't look like powder there though. Looks warm and sunny, but could still be fun.

I'd have to have it be more exciting though, and by that I mean we'd have to do overnight driving cause I have to be at work Friday and Monday morning...

Leave Seattle at 7pm, roll in for first tracks, and then leave apres-ski on Sunday....
