May 19, 2008, Mt McLoughlin, SE Face + N Face Try
By this weekend (Memorial Day), I think that a good portion of the snow in the forest below 5200 ft will have melted, making continuous skiing from Summit Sno-Park impossible. But the hike through the woods to reach continuous snow should be short and manageable.
By late June, the North and Northeast Faces should still offer about 2500+ vert of skiing, down to 7000 ft or below. The summit trail along the east ridge should be mostly melted out by then too.

Thanks Amar. Can't ask for better beta than that! It's looking likely that I'll be strapping the skis on the mo-sickle and heading down Saturday. - dh
