Yup - when I lived back east, I tended to ski Sunday River, which yearly fought Killington for bragging rights on who stayed open longest. And there were usually still lift lines even at the bitter end, unlike spring skiing out here.
Have to chime in on this one. They milk the season like none other there. I skied Sunday River on their closing weekend and it was literally a 5' to 30' ribbon of snow going down the runs. But, it was worth doing just for the novelty of it.
I think people in the NW generally are a bit more snobbish about the snow though. Out east people will absolutely pack a mountain to ski Volkswagen sized ice moguls and bulletproof groomers. The skiing is way better out here though, so I guess that people can afford to wait for only good days.

Scotsman, you need not ask forgiveness for it is not mine to give! I was unaware that there was a designated time frame for the season's pass. If so, then it is I who must ask forgiveness. Is that published somewhere.
Went skiing at Crystal today , when I put my season pass over my neck I decided to read the back.
It says and I quote" 2) Season pass expires April 13th,2008. 5) User has read and agrees to all tems of the season pass agreement on the
back of the season pass application
I guess it is written somewhere and is very clear and was predetermined in advance. A contract is a contract!
Dam that fine print!

Yeah, I did that too. If you read the real fine print it says the are may or may not honor passes after 13 april. So they certainly could do so without losing face. Farging bastiges!

I just remembered that Crystal let me use my weekday pass on a weekend, when they opened! A $35 gift!

Yes! in a moment of divine inspiration they were really cool!
Now... If they could just put in a cat track on approach to the lower end of the Northway lift...
