Kudos to the diggers (mechanized and non) and blasters. Much snow to move.
How does the cleanliness of the water supply impact the openness of the road to Paradise?
Would the road be closed in summer of the water was mucky?
Does RMI have to hike from Longmire because the water out of the tap in the Jackson Visitor center is not USDA grade A?
If the water out of the Alpental tap in the can is dirty should they close I-90?
Gator, can you elaborate? This seems like non-sense to me, but perhaps I am missing a key piece of the story.

I thought it was apparent that you have to be connected to access Paradise? (for the thick ones on the board, I'M JOKING here!!!)
No one has been allowed up... RMI doesn't have a trip scheduled till March (BTW).
As a public agency, we don't open public buildings without restrooms and clean (i.e. tested) water etc... I know you and other skiers/climbers may not care about this, but most visitors do use a buildings, do use a restrooms, and do want clean water... We don't filter the driver that heads up above Paradise. If we did, I'd personally check for winter driving skills.

In case Park staff & others are not yet aware, the Westside road did not escape the onslaught. The parking lot three miles up at Dry Creek is buried under several hundred yards of debris up to 30-40 feet deep. Starting about mile 2 is the first of six smaller slides across the road. This one is about 150' long, 15' deep, full of broken logs up to a foot in diameter and came out of the woods in a place I never would have expected.
