We use sleds as an access tool for touring, as opposed to a replacement for a chair lift. Haven't really found anyplace that would be really conducive to "ghostriding" or tow-in laps. Not really my thing, but the latter is certainly possible off of logging roads.
Climbinghighest - We snomo-tour in the Salmon la Sac and Teanaway areas pretty regularly. We should hook up sometime and share stashes.

for sure, i'll be out that way later this month or early feb. There's plenty of touring out at baker. Up glacier or canyon creek on the north side and baker nra on the other.
Last time I was up G.C. there was about 10 snomobilers that all had boards with them. I was like were not alone. I agree they make a nice replacement lift. Hit me up if your ever headed out this way and like i said ill be out that way soon.
