I got them on the hard pack at Meadows yesterday. This is only my second pair of shaped skis after years of snowboarding so I am not technically experienced (or picky for that matter). I still compare to old school skis and it seems like all the new shaped skis simply ski themselves. My Voodoos included for sure. They felt excellent on the packed groomers, in the crud, and in the powder. On the packed, they were very quick and responsive, and super easy to turn. Just think about turning and it happens. The edge bite was excellent. No complaints. I don't know how to discern the tortional rigidity thing? I had heard that you really have to "load up" the Havocs to turn them because they are so stiff. The Voodoos do not have this characteristic. Perhaps if I was still gonzo like in my youth, I would have gone for the Havocs.
