Anybody riding the new BD Voodoos????? was created by pabloson
I was looking for Havocs, but came across the Voodoo as the "lighter version of the Havoc". Does anybody have any reviews of this ski?
thanks

I'm also curious about what folks think of the new lighter skies. I ski on tanks --except for my old old skies which are only good in 6" to 8" below twenty degrees Bachelor fresh (other-wise I get stuck...)
Finally just ordered skins from climbingskinsdirect.com...great price so hopefully they will be great performers, too. I'll post if anything isn't working up to snuff. $95 (including shipping) 115 mm with tip and tail "Euro Fix style".. Other options are also available.
Bet those Voodoos are going to be the ticket!!!!!

I have a pair of Havocs......they are sweet. They tour light enough for me and I find them to be really versatile. I like the twintips too. Good enough width for Pow and agile enouh for all the other crap that falls out of the sky around these parts. Id stick with the Havocs unless you are a weight nazi.....

Well I pulled the trigger on a pair of Voodoos. Mostly because they were the right price at $390 new '07's. I was after Havocs, but figured, hey might as well save a pound.
There are some good deals floating around on Black Diamond skis with "blemishes" or "2nds" out there. I found them simply by Googling.
Now I just have to be patient while I wait for weekened/holiday shipping delays!

Road the new voodoos yesterday at Bennett pass on Mt. Hood. The powder was deep. They floated. What else can I say?
Actually I did notice a lighter feeling on the foot while climbing. That was nice. I probably won't be able to really review the skis until I get them on some crud and or hard pack, but so far I am very happy with them.

The only negative I've heard in reviews is that the reduced weight comes at the expense of some torsional rigidity and edge-hold. I'll be curious to hear what you find when you get on the hardpack...
