Mt Baker from Orcas Island was created by Spin Fast
Although I would have preferred to have been skiing on Mt Baker, cycling to the top of Mt Constitution on Orcas Island yesterday evening and seeing it from afar under the glow of a setting sun was pretty nice too.

I've been a passenger on the Mt Baker scenic railroad, located on Orcas Island (near the airport). Nice photo's from the island! That one with the moon is very cool. Both would make nice photo's to hang on the wall.

Thanks.

I never knew there was a scenic railroad on Orcas, but I suppose I'm not surprised. It's very cool place to visit.

I have lived with a view of Mt.Baker my entire life and I never get tired of it. I was looking at the mountain from the east side yesterday.

The Mt Baker Railroad was created by Burton A. Burton. It is on I believe 100 acres that circles his property and has a small terminal on the north end called "Grizzly Flats" that includes a small carnival (1950s style) and park. It is a very cool place! It also includes crossing gates and even a phoney accident.
Burton's family created Casablanca Fan Company and he was also a former photographer for the NY Times I believe. I saw a very nice collection of photo's in one of his buildings. The entire farm is full of surprises. Unfortunately Burton passed away a couple years ago, but his wife still runs the ranch. It is private and I was able to visit because he invited our group of motorcycle riders to his farm (we ride Russian sidecar bikes).
