It's too steep...baker that is. Just look at those jagged peaks.

Actually - the second "from Orcas" shot features clark island in the foreground - the really skinny island. I had the best time there 4 weeks ago kayaking with the sea lions, and trippin out on the alpenglow off baker w/ that full moon.

INSANE!!!

Are we talking true North or magnetic North,Tim? I know that you are the resident expert on Baker, but it sure looks like Ptarmigan Ridge follows a compass line between North and East on that map. ;)
