The snowbash was a huge success with something like 250 participants.
Speakers came from Canada as well as locally and elsewhere in the US>
It was fascinating to be able to sit down with Ian Tomm of the CAA and see the huge lepas forward in avalanche education that are just around the corner, all statistically based.

Yeah, it was pretty impressive, Gary.
I'm hoping it can become a regular event for us. We're certainly well located for such an event.
Is there any truth to the rumor that negotiations are under way to commission Sky's "underlying theme" graphic from his talk as the new logo for the event?

I'd like to personally thank the people who organized and presented at the conference on Saturday. It was a great line-up of speakers and interesting topics - something for everyone. Do any TAY folks know if there's a way to get copies of the presentations?

Agreed - there were a few presentations there that it'd be fun to have a copy of for future reference.

I talked to the guy filming and suggested that he be sure and let Michael Jackson (the promoter of the event) and Charles know when he has duplicatable material/recordings available. Seems like between the two of them, there ought to be a way for us to get our hands on some sort of recorded media of the event.
