MRNP - Paradise OPENING

Originally I posted this under the Paradise Parking Issue thread, but thought that this is noteworthy enough to deserve it's own thread.

Well this is certainly some GOOD news.  Today's News Tribune's article about the road to Paradise could open as soon as May 1st.

In today's article there was also mention of this:

"In order to help make up for economic losses caused by the park’s closure, the memo said additional services or longer operating seasons will be utilized in some areas. One example: The Sunrise visitor center on the park’s east side will open in June, two weeks earlier than normal".

Let's just hope the media is on the right track with this one.

RonJ the line you will be skiing will have already been tracked out by me!   Only kidding! You ,I and MadDog where some of the last people to ski at paradise as we skied the day before the big flood so we need to be the first to ski there when they open. It's only fair!

Scottie, we were the last ones to leave.  Just as we got back to the cars it started to rain, and that was the last we saw of Paradise until now.  Since May 1 is on a Tuesday, I think we are should take a sick day, actually I think I'm starting to get a little "feverish" already .
