I am happy that we may be able to access Paradise in a couple of months, hopefully before the snow melts. If not, we may have to highjack Mike and his van...I am sure he needs a few dozen assistant backcountry rangers to assess the backcountry snow conditions...
Missing Paradise...

In view of all the damages, I think a trade of a day of trail maintenance for each van shuttle. How 'bout that Mike?

thanks for the PI link, but sheesh.. them journalists seem to think the Nisqually road is the only way to get into the park!!
Hey Gator, would you concur with what Archy said in this thread ??
I really wanna go ski the Inter Glacier, and other stuff in that area this spring.. never have skied that corner of the park..

The NE part of the Park has no damage beyond the normal blowdowns. Snowmo'd Sat up to the Y and climbed up "Big Bertha" slide up to Crystal Pk for fabulous 3000' ride + 1500' yoyo. Drove White River Rd to Fryingpan Crk to scope out future plans and only had to negotiate under one tree. Can't say how current conditions are beyond that, but there's lots of snow!!

Maybe there is some sort of a silver lining to this cloud.
