Dynafit forward release upgrade?

Someone asked what I meant by "grinding the bump off" of the TLT heels - here's a picture. It's pretty much flush with the surface of the housing at top, but the plastic tapers in a little at the bottom so it still sticks out a little there. I cut the climbing post off of this one, too.

I haven't had the eye examined, but it seems to be 100% now. I'll just do what I usually do, which is ignore it unless it bothers me.

I released forward/from the heel again yesterday. I made a small jump into a couloir, broke through the rain crust on impact, and lost a ski. I escaped from this one unscathed, though. I think I would have released from just about any binding, given the scenario.

Sky, I believe that the specs on the Dynafit web site specifically advise against dropping over 5 ft. into ice crusted couloirs!!

I'm really terrible with that 'advice' stuff.
